If you are driving
...
You can get
free, detailed driving directions from Google
Maps.
Just follow the
link, enter your address and the zendo address (2747 Waiomao Road)
and click on the Get Directions button. The site will give you detailed
driving instructions and a small map. Print out the map and directions.
The map will
show a straight line up Palolo valley. Here are some further instructions,
which may help you find the zen center for the first time. Be
sure to print these out too!
You'll be
driving up the valley on 10th Avenue
Take a slight right onto Waiomao Road by the Baha'i Center
Keep going on Waiomao Road, up the valley
The road will narrow; it is now a twisty private road -- GO SLOW
Keep on going up the private road -- this is approximately 7/10
of a mile until you see a large green lawn and a low cream and
brown building on your right -- this is the zendo
There is a
small sign reading Palolo Zen Center hanging from the mailbox
Turn onto the property, turn left at the end of the short concrete
driveway, and park in the uphill parking area
The parking
area is not well marked; do your best
If you are taking
the bus ...
The number
9 bus goes up the valley on main roads and down again; it does
not go up Waimao Road. You'll have to ask the bus driver to let
you off at Waiomao and 10th Avenue, then trek up the road. It
may be a twenty minute walk, if you are in reasonable condition.

If you don't have
a car and you can't walk that far ...
Contact the
zendo and we'll see if we can find a sangha member to give you
a ride. We can't promise any rides, however.
